karma bites
I'd like to know what I did to Murphy that he keeps smacking me down with his law. Aside from that fact that for the past 2 weeks it won't rain all morning, until I get about 50' into taking the dogs for a walk. And then, sky opens up and pour buckets. Seriously. You think I'm exagerating, but I'm not. Do you know how much it sucks to spend the rest of the afternoon at work in wet clothes? Let me tell you, it's not pleasant.And then...yesterday, BP finially got a check for some freelance work and we thought we would have a bit of breathing room in our bank account and maybe a little money to spend on something fun, and the fucking AC went out last night. You know that won't be cheap to fix. We just can't win I tell ya.
Can someone tell me what I've done to the universe, to bring on such karma. If I knew I could fix it, change my ways. Unless it's because I'm gay. In that case there is nothing I can do. Is there some sort of rating system for karma, like a credit rating, but a karma rating? Someone's got to have a karma rating repair service. I mean, isn't karma like the credit of the universe?

I'm not sure about your karma but you're all good with Murphy (at least this one).
Okay, I realise that to Americans this is kind of a crazy idea, but why don't you just not fix the AC? Us peeps in Europe have been living without them for centuries and we're doing just fine :D
weese- I'm really not upset by it, it's really just comical mostly. The rain thing totally cracks me up because it seems I bring the rain. I go out to take a walk and it starts to rain. As soon as I go in, it stops and doesn't rain for the rest of the day.
KMae- It is always something. And I am very glad we have the cash to fix it.
PixieFlute- yes it could be worse, so lets not tempt fate.
Megan- OK, I'll scratch Murphy off my list.
McCutcheon- We could get by without AC, but we'd be damn miserable most of the time. We both have horrible allergies, so not having to have the windows open helps quite a bit. Plus our house wasn't really designed to capture breezes and have good air flow.
If we lived further north, or at a higher altitude with low humidity, AC might not be as important for June-August. But we don't.
My uncle is an AC repair guy. want me to email you his #?
purlewe- thanks, but it's fixed. It wasn't as bad as I was prepared for. He cleaned the coils and added refrigerant, so a few hundred bucks.
